Dutch clothing label Kuyichi has hired advisers ahead of a planned expansion into the Irish market. The ethical clothing brand, best known for using organic fabrics, has appointed London-based property agent CWM to find suitable stores in Ireland and Britain.
Kuyichi's clothing is currently sold in more than 500 stores across Europe and the company is in an expansion phase, planning to open several shops and "shop-in-shops" across the region later this year. Kuyichi was set up after its owners tried and failed to get the big players in the clothing industry to use organic cotton. It opened for business in 2001 and is known for its use of sustainable materials in its shop fit-out. However, it is predominantly a wholesaler to other retailers and department stores and is also sold on clothing website Asos.
