My Hero

Ted Turner, founder of CNN. Not only is he a great businessman and philanthropist but he's a brilliant sportsman too. He won the Americas Cup and not a lot of people know that.

My villain

Bertie. Just that he wrecked the economy.

My low point

The recession. It made work difficult. But the boom was also difficult as expectations were so high.

Best invention

I don't have one. I'm a bit of a Luddite.

If you could change one thing

The government. I was fine until 2003 and then we got carried away. Everyone went a bit crazy for a while. We're now paying for it with Draconian measures and I'm disappointed.

Work of art/book/song

How to be Good by Nick Hornby. I'm a great fan of his. He reads a lot of modern trends, from a male point of view, and he's very intuitive.

My greatest hope

To get the kids through school and college.
