Galway booked a place in the Walsh Cup final after a 1-22 to 2-16 win over Offaly. Full-forward Joe Gantley contributed 1-6 from play while Ger Farragher landed 0-10 from frees.

This was enough for John McIntyre's men to withstand a late Offaly rally.

Galway led by 1-11 to 1-6 at the break, after racing into a 0-6 to 0-0 lead after 10 minutes. Offaly replied and Ger Healion's goal after 22 minutes kept them alive. Farragher's accuracy gave Galway a nine-point lead in the third quarter with a Shane Dooley inspired Offaly rally coming up short.
