A second-half hat-trick by Stephen Butler, gave Glenanne the win in yesterday's Leinster men's Neville Cup final at Serpentine Avenue, as the winners had it more or less their own way against a weakened Corinthians side.
Corinthians, who are making big strides in this season's league championship, found the absence of their four regulars, Andrew Conje, Darren Kimsley, Dan Williams and Lucas Piccioli, too big a handicap against a full-strength Glenanne side.
Glen's international midfielder Butler, scored three goals on the trot, via a penalty corner, penalty stroke and the last from play.
The Munster Peard Cup Final, between Catholic Institute and Cork C of I was cancelled, due to the frozen state of the Rosbrien pitch in Limerick.
