Three Rock Rovers moved to the top of the Leinster Div 1 table following a 1-1 draw with Y M C A. A single goal from Andy Ewington was enough for Monkstown as they beat Fingal 1-0. In the final match of the trio bottom teams U C D and Clontarf shared the hard earned spoils in a 3-3 draw at Belfield.

In the women's ESB Irish Senior Cup, Railway Union beat Hermes 2-1. Meanwhile, Pembroke, Loreto and Cork Harlequins all came through with 2-1 wins over Glenanne, Armagh and Old Alex, while holders U C D had to settle for a 1-0 golden goal winner from Kerry McComish to oust Bray.
